Citrix: Time out settings for disconnected users
When a user disconnects from a Citrix session rather than logging off, the user can sometime run into problems on the next login.
This is especially true if the user does not reconnect to the disconnected session.
I have found it is a good practice to setup Group Policy to auto reset the users connection after they have been disconnected for a certain amount of time.
This setting can be found aat the following location:
Computer ConfigurationPoliciesAdministrative TemplatesWindows Components/Remote Desktop Services/Remote Desktop Session Host/Session Time Limits Example Settings: Set time limit for disconnected sessions Enabled End a disconnected session 5 minutes To use this:
- Create a new Group Policy Object
- Edit the Object at the above location with your desired settings
- Close the editor
- Apply the GP Object to the appropriate OU
